Description

A first for the FireHouse, we will be hosting a concert played by a big band. All of eighteen pieces ready to introduce the music of Ferndale's own Robert Storms in a concert of his original compositions and arrangements written over his lifetime living in Bellingham and Ferndale. It’s dance music and there might be dancers! It’s also listening music, so the variety of music selections was written for concerts as well as dances. Phil Heft is the Swing Connection’s band leader but Bob has agreed to take the band for the night in leading the Swing Connection in the concert. Guest Jazz artists to include, Cheryl Hodge - vocalist, Mark Kelly - alto saxophone, Thomas Harris - tenor saxophone, and Pete Kirkman - trumpet
